During the campaign, Daria and her team heard from Erie residents about what’s working, what’s not, and how we can move Erie forward...

…and here’s what we learned.

In the time between Election Day and Inauguration, we lay the groundwork for Daria’s administration, turning the conversations of the campaign into concrete steps toward an inclusive, collaborative City Hall.

We convened a Transition Team made up of community leaders, practitioners, and public servants to help us listen carefully and honestly before taking action. Thank you to the Transition Team, to City staff, and to the many residents who shared their time, insights, and hopes.

Our Transition Team Report

Erie is a city with tremendous potential and a deep sense of pride. It is a place shaped by strong neighborhoods, creative energy, and people who care deeply about its future.

Our Transition Team stepped up and volunteered their time and expertise to help us shape that future we all care so deeply about. Their charge was not to create a list of promises, but to take an honest look at what is working, where we are falling short, and how City government can better serve the people who call Erie home.

The report is broken into sections organized by core issue areas that shape daily life in Erie and the City’s long-term health:

Housing and Neighborhood Development
Youth
Workforce and Economic Development
Budget and Financial Sustainability
Leadership, Culture, and Service Delivery
